Annual golf scramble fundraiser included fun, community spirit, and support for children’s education and play at Naples’ The Strand.
Golf enthusiasts had the chance to combine their passion for the game with meaningful community support at the third annual Golisano Children’s Museum of Naples (CMON) Golf Scramble. The event was hosted at The Strand, a premier golf club in Naples, Florida, known for its picturesque and challenging courses designed by renowned architect Gordon Lewis.
The Strand features three distinct nine-hole courses—Savannah, Sabal, and Preserve—each offering unique layouts and strategic challenges. Notably, the Savannah and Sabal courses were the prestigious host venues for the LPGA Subaru of Naples Invitational from 1998 to 2000, underscoring their quality and championship-caliber design.
The event kicked off at 7:30 a.m. with participant check-in and a continental breakfast, fostering camaraderie and excitement among golfers before the shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Teams competed in the scramble format, a fun and inclusive style ensuring golfers of all skill levels can contribute to their team’s success. Following play, attendees gathered for a luncheon featuring awards, raffle prizes, and community spirit—all benefiting CMON’s mission to provide inspiring educational experiences for children and families.
The scramble directly supports CMON’s vital community programs and exhibits, designed to stimulate learning through creative play and hands-on exploration. Located in Southwest Florida, CMON serves thousands of children each year through interactive experiences that blend science, art, technology, and cultural awareness.
