With plug-and-play simplicity and professional‑grade upgrades, Eco Battery’s new AC Powertrain system transforms golf cars into torque-heavy, tech-savvy machines.

Golf cars aren’t just for tee boxes anymore and neither is battery tech. That’s the thinking behind Eco Battery’s newest product launch: a fully integrated AC Powertrain system that blends high-performance components with easy installation for both custom builds and OEM applications.

Dubbed the EB Power AC Powertrain, the new bundles mark Eco Battery’s most ambitious push into full powertrain integration. It’s no longer just about batteries, this is about transforming the entire golf car experience. Whether you’re upgrading an existing car or outfitting a brand-new one, the system delivers noticeably better throttle response, torque, and runtime. And it’s built to work in concert with Eco Battery’s signature lithium-ion packs.

So, what’s under the hood? The bundles come with either a 4kW or 5kW motor, paired with a 350A, 450A, or 600A controller (depending on how aggressive you want to get). Unlike many kits on the market, everything is pre-assembled and pre-labeled, making installation straightforward for both hobbyists and professional shops. There’s no guesswork, no need for additional modules, and no rewiring nightmares.

“It’s the culmination of everything we’ve learned about lithium power and performance,” says Skylar Schone, CEO of Eco Battery. “This system isn’t just a product, it’s an ecosystem. That’s why we call it the ECO SYSTEM.”

The performance claims are backed up by features that cater to modern users. The system’s proprietary software allows for full programmability on the fly. Users can toggle between presets using a dash-mounted switch or dive deeper with the EB Power app, which provides real-time data and customization. Want a soft start for quiet neighborhoods? Done. Need a burst mode for hilly terrain? That’s built-in, too.

Eco Battery didn’t skimp on hardware either. The kits include a premium EV-rated 400A solenoid, the smallest form-factor motors in their class, and full compatibility with Eco Battery’s robust battery management system (BMS). Even better, most cars won’t require major modifications to install, this system was designed to be drop-in ready for common makes and models.

The move represents a broader trend in the golf car industry away from basic functionality and toward smart, modular mobility. As more buyers use their cars for daily transportation in gated communities, resorts, and campuses, performance expectations have risen. The EB Powertrain meets those demands, offering both muscle and convenience in one tidy package.

The company has also emphasized its U.S.-based engineering and technical support as a key differentiator. Every bundle is backed by domestic expertise, ensuring that dealers and DIYers alike have support when needed. That’s particularly valuable when upgrading power systems, which can get complicated without expert guidance.

With this launch, Eco Battery isn’t just selling batteries anymore—it’s offering a turnkey platform for next-gen electric mobility. It’s a statement that says: performance matters, even at 25 mph.
