The latest RXV lineup brings electric and gas options, new trim levels, automotive-inspired styling and expanded technology features.
E-Z-GO has introduced the 2026 edition of its RXV golf car, giving courses, private owners and fleet managers a refreshed lineup with multiple powertrain choices and trim options.
The 2026 RXV will be available in two-passenger RXV 2 and four-passenger RXV 4 configurations. Buyers can choose between electric and gas-powered models, depending on use case, budget and preference. That flexibility remains important in the golf car market, where some customers are ready to fully commit to lithium power while others still want the familiarity of gas.
On the electric side, E-Z-GO will offer ELiTE series vehicles powered by Samsung SDI lithium battery technology. Those models are zero-emission and backed by an eight-year battery warranty. Some RXV packages will also be available with lead-acid batteries, giving customers another electric option at a different price point.
Gas-powered models use E-Z-GO’s EX1 closed-loop EFI engine, which was built for golf car applications and designed to improve fuel efficiency. While electric models tend to receive most of the attention in today’s market, gas vehicles still have a role in certain fleet environments, especially where charging infrastructure, daily range or operational habits make combustion power a practical choice.
Across the 2026 RXV lineup, E-Z-GO is emphasizing automotive-style design and everyday usability. All models feature integrated LED headlights, independent front suspension and an ergonomic dash with storage for personal items. Those details may sound small, but they matter in a category where buyers increasingly expect vehicles to feel more polished than the basic golf cars of the past.
Electric models also include E-Z-GO’s IntelliBrake system, which automatically applies the parking brake whenever the vehicle stops. For course operators and private users, that kind of safety feature is valuable. Golf cars are used by people with a wide range of driving experience, and automatic braking can help reduce rollaway concerns.
The 2026 RXV lineup includes several trims: Valor, Freedom, Touring and Summit.
The Valor trim includes standard LED headlights and a selection of standard and premium color options. It is available either as an electric vehicle with lead-acid battery technology or as a gas-powered model with the EX1 engine. This trim appears positioned for buyers who want a straightforward RXV with essential features and some visual choice.
The Freedom trim offers more flexibility. Buyers can select an ELiTE lithium-powered electric model or the EX1 gas engine. Freedom vehicles can also be equipped with various options and accessories, making the trim a strong fit for private owners who want more personalization without moving all the way into the top packages.
The Touring trim is available only on RXV 4 ELiTE models. It adds a technology package that can include either the E-Z-GO IntelliGauge electronic smart gauge or an infotainment system with a 10-inch touchscreen and speakers. It also includes USB charging ports and premium tire and wheel options. Available packages within Touring can add accent lighting, backup cameras, seat belts, high- and low-beam LED headlights, locking gloveboxes, premium seating with fold-down armrests and self-canceling turn signals.
Those features show how much the four-passenger golf car market has changed. The RXV 4 is not just a way to move more people around a course or neighborhood. It is increasingly treated like a small personal vehicle. Buyers want screens, lights, storage, charging ports, better seating and safety features. They want the cart to feel finished.
The Summit trim, also available only on RXV 4 ELiTE models, adds lifted suspension and fender flares. Other available packages can add a brush guard along with many of the features offered in Touring. This trim speaks to the popularity of lifted, more aggressive-looking golf cars, especially among private owners and community users who want something with more presence.
For E-Z-GO, the 2026 RXV update keeps an established name current in a market that has become more competitive. Buyers now compare golf cars not only by price and reliability, but by style, technology, battery options, comfort and customization potential.
The new RXV lineup gives E-Z-GO a broad answer. Courses can look at practical fleet needs. Private owners can choose higher trims with added equipment. Gas buyers still have an option. Lithium customers get Samsung SDI-powered ELiTE models and warranty support.
Golf cars used to be judged mainly by whether they moved quietly from tee to green. The 2026 RXV shows that the expectations are much higher now.
