CS (JanFeb16) – Custom Golf Car “Best of Show”

CoverJanFeb16Under this all-steel constructed cart rod is an E-Z-GO gas powered drivetrain. The hood, grill, emblems and trim are all from a 1949 Ford truck. The back portion of the hood was used to fabricate the front fenders; a portion of the grill was used to fashion the front bumper. It boasts a hand fabricated steel working tailgate with hand-sewn canvas covered chains and LED lights illuminate front and rear. The flatbed and bed stakes are hand built finished maple with carriage bolt accents. A 1960 Ford Falcon instrument panel was used to customize the dash including a working glove box. A handmade pattern was used to create the self-machine sewed marine canvas top with vinyl rear window. Finally, the original “baby moon” hubcaps are highlighted by hand painted white walls.
The build took 1 year after work and weekends. Why Ford? It’s MY name!
