It all began in 2019, Bolt Energy USA was founded by Brent Tenney and Bobby Diaz, two seasoned golf car dealers who were tired of unreliable lithium batteries and lackluster customer support to say the least. While many were facing hard times during Covid 19 and business shutdowns, they used this time to get to work with one goal in mind — to create the best battery for their five-star golf car dealership, Crusin Carts (in Largo FL).
Soon after beginning R&D, they realized they weren’t alone. Other dealers were facing the same frustrations. Bobby began reaching out, and one by one, the story was the same. Everyone was dealing with the same issues. That’s when the vision for Bolt grew beyond just powering their own dealership, it became a mission to create “The Best Battery on the Planet” for the entire industry.
They decided to change the game for all dealers just like them who were tired of excuses. With backgrounds in electronics, engineering, and years of firsthand experience, they built something better, much better.
