CLUB CAR INTRODUCES THE LIMITED EDITION JAUNT™ PTV

A Distinctive New Vehicle Customized for Neighborhood Transportation

Move over, golf cars. There’s a new car on the block: the personal transportation vehicle (PTV), a small four-wheeled vehicle similar to a golf car that’s made for neighborhood transportation.

And Club Car has a distinctive new model rolling off the line: the limited edition Jaunt PTV.

“The Jaunt PTV is tailor-made for seniors, families and individuals in communities where personal transportation is part of the lifestyle,” says Mary A. Sicard, consumer marketing manager. It comes in two- and four-passenger electric models, and can be used both on and off course.

Almost-instant Customization

“Personalizing a vehicle takes days, and using aftermarket parts can affect your warranty,” Sicard says. The limited edition Jaunt PTV avoids those problems. It comes factory-customized with the following features and carries a two-year limited warranty:

An automotive-style body and cowl with dual halogen headlights and molded-in color that doesn’t show scratches. (Black, midnight sky metallic, red or silver metallic)

A color-coordinated canopy

Luxurious marine-grade seats with complementary piping and stitching
A rear flip seat (Four-passenger models only)

“The Jaunt PTV is built on our exclusive rustproof AlumiCore™ frame and engineered to deliver years of inexpensive, reliable transportation,” Sicard says.

Not-So-Standard Equipment
The vehicles are accessorized for neighborhood transportation with:

19-mph Private Use Speed Option
Headlights, tail lights, brake lights and horn
Comfort-grip steering wheels
Wink mirrors
Split windshields
USB ports
PTV kits (decals and reflectors)
Exclusive Club Car grills
Automotive-style alloy wheels

Best-in-class Chargers with Single Point Watering Systems

The quiet, emissions-free Jaunt PTV delivers one of the longest ranges in its class and helps avoid dead batteries and ruined outings. It’s new charging system issues alerts that prevent common user errors. It also charges during power fluctuations and monitors the battery pack after charging to deliver power as needed. A standard single-point watering system simplifies battery maintenance and extends battery life.

YAMAHA INKS AGREEMENT TO SPONSOR THE 2015 PRO-AM AT THE MCGLADREY CLASSIC

The Yamaha Golf-Car Company will sponsor the 2015 Pro-Am at The McGladrey Classic, an Official PGA TOUR Event, on Wednesday, November 18th. For the first time, the Pro-Am Event will be played on both the Plantation and Seaside courses at Sea Island Golf Club in Georgia’s Golden Isles. The courses are the same that the professional golfers will play competitive rounds on during this year’s McGladrey Classic.

The Yamaha Golf-Car Company has been investing in grassroots programs designed to support and grow the game of golf through PGA of America Sectional events, the Web.com Tour, as well as a partnership with the Executive Women’s Golf Association. Over 1,400 golf courses have switched to Yamaha Golf Car products over the last five years, signaling a major shift in the industry. Armed with a rich pedigree of quality and engineering, Yamaha’s fleet, utility, and personal transportation cars are enjoying a fast growing following throughout the world both on and off the golf course.

“Like most people, I’ve always been familiar with Yamaha’s high-performance products within the motorcycle, ATV, boat, and marine industries,” said tournament host Davis Love III, 20-time PGA Tour winner and captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team. Now, having recently spent a lot of time with their golf division, it’s easy to see that their golf car and utility car products have carried on that same high quality, reliability and high-performance position in the golf industry. Yamaha is an ideal fit for The McGladrey Classic and I’m proud to have their support of our event.”

“We are proud to support the Davis Love Foundation and be a part of the sixth annual McGladrey Classic. This is a great opportunity for us to support children and family charities and build relationships with our customers,” said Tom McDonald, president of the Yamaha Golf-Car Company.

The Pro-Am includes a Tuesday night Pairings Party hosted by Love and his wife, Robin. The event has become an integral part of The McGladrey Classic and one of the premier Pro-Am events on the PGA TOUR.

There are a limited number of Pro-Am spots available. For more information on the 2015 Yamaha Pro-Am at The McGladrey Classic please visit mcgladreyclassic.com.
