Yamaha Golf-Car Company has made two additions to the Direct Sales team, responsible for golf and utility sales in California. Adam Pohll will serve as the new District Sales Manager for Central California and temporarily for Northern California. Mark Strickland will serve as the District Sales Manager for Southern California.

Adam Pohll joins the team with over 20 years of golf industry experience. A Class A PGA member since 2001, Adam has held multiple positions in the Golden State. His previous experience spans from General Manager for a large golf course management company to Head Coach and Director of Golf at his alma mater, Sacramento State and the University of Nevada, Reno.

Adam previously held the General Manager position for CourseCo, Inc. in the Central Valley at Riverside Golf Course in Fresno and most recently held the position of Regional Manager, overseeing 14 golf facilities in a multi-state region. Adam brings a wealth of industry knowledge and will be responsible for building and maintaining valuable relationships throughout Central California. He currently lives in Clovis, California with his wife and daughter.

Mark Strickland started his career with Yamaha Golf Car in Kennesaw, Georgia in 2018 as the Regional Manager overseeing the Dealer Sales Channel for the United States. Prior to joining Yamaha, Mark owned a Play It Again Sports franchise in Cartersville, Georgia that he successfully operated and sold after 20+ years.

After an illustrious amateur and college golf career at Wake Forest University, Mark played at the professional level on both the Asian and South American PGA Tours from 1991–1995. Mark continues to play competitive golf at a very high level, most recently winning the 2019 Yamaha Georgia Senior Open in his first year of eligibility. In 2007, Mark was awarded the Tommy Barnes award by the Georgia State Golf Association, which is the highest honor for the overall top amateur golfer in the state of Georgia.

In 2020, Mark returned to his home state of California and resides in San Diego with his wife. The whole Yamaha Golf Car team is excited to have Mark support the Southern California territory for Direct Sales.
