GOTRAX enters the golf car market in a big way with a lithium-powered vehicle debuting nationwide at Lowe’s stores.

Electric mobility company GOTRAX is expanding beyond scooters and e-bikes with the introduction of its newest vehicle: the Fairway 200 golf car.

Unveiled during a major product launch with Lowe’s, the new model marks the company’s most significant move yet into the fast-growing personal electric vehicle market. By placing the golf car directly in Lowe’s retail stores and online platform, GOTRAX aims to make golf cars more accessible to everyday consumers nationwide.

The Fairway 200 is designed as a versatile electric vehicle that works equally well on golf courses, in residential neighborhoods, and at outdoor venues or events.

The car features seating for four passengers, with two forward-facing seats and a rear-facing bench configuration that allows riders to comfortably travel together. This arrangement mirrors the popular “family golf car” layout that has become standard for recreational and neighborhood transportation.

Under the hood, the Fairway 200 is powered by a 5,000-watt electric motor paired with a 150Ah lithium battery. The combination delivers smooth acceleration and a range of up to 30 miles per charge.

Lithium batteries have become increasingly popular in the golf car market due to their lighter weight, faster charging times, and longer lifespan compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.

Technology is also a central focus of the new model. A 10-inch touchscreen display serves as the car’s digital control center and supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing drivers to access navigation, music, and smartphone apps while on the move.

The vehicle also includes a premium sound system and a rear backup camera designed to improve convenience and safety, particularly in tight residential areas or parking situations.

Additional features include integrated headlights, cup holders, and a top speed of approximately 20 miles per hour, placing the vehicle squarely within the performance range expected for recreational and neighborhood use.

For GOTRAX, the new product represents a strategic expansion into a category that has seen rapid growth in recent years.

Once limited mostly to golf courses, cars have become increasingly common as neighborhood vehicles, campus transportation solutions, and utility vehicles for resorts, events, and parks.

Company executives say the decision to launch the vehicle through Lowe’s will make the technology more accessible to consumers who may not traditionally shop at specialty golf car dealerships.

As the demand for practical, eco-friendly transportation continues to grow, companies like GOTRAX are betting that the golf car may become one of the most versatile electric vehicles on the road.
