NPA Breaks Ground in Denton

National Powersport Auctions is planting another flag in one of the country’s most important powersports markets, with a new Denton facility designed to strengthen logistics, service, and national reach.

Growth stories in the powersports world often come dressed in numbers: more units, more acreage, more markets, more efficiency. But every so often, a project tells a larger story about where an industry is headed. That is the case with National Powersport Auctions, which has officially broken ground on a new facility in Denton, Texas, a move that signals both confidence in the region and a broader commitment to expanding its footprint across the country.

Headquartered in Poway, California, NPA has spent decades building a reputation as one of the leading providers of powersports remarketing and auction services in the nation. Its newest site, located at 1300 N. Masch Branch Road in Denton, will add another strategic location to a network that already serves some of the biggest names in the industry, from financial institutions and manufacturers to dealers and lenders. The groundbreaking ceremony, held February 19, brought together local officials, Copart representatives, and NPA leadership, including CEO Jim Woodruff and Vice President of Operations Jeff Kinney.

For NPA, the project is about far more than adding another point on the map. “This groundbreaking represents more than just a new Dallas facility for NPA,” Woodruff said. “It’s an investment in the powersports industry and the community of Denton.”

That distinction matters. Texas is one of the most active and influential powersports markets in the country, with strong dealer networks, high consumer demand, and significant traffic in motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, RVs, and marine products. Planting a larger operational flag in Denton positions NPA to serve that region more effectively while creating a stronger link between buyers, sellers, and financial partners across the state and beyond.

The new Denton location is expected to support NPA’s live and online auction platforms, with a focus on inventory handling, logistics, and improving access for both buyers and sellers. In a business where speed, security, and efficiency can make or break a transaction, a well-positioned facility can have an outsized impact. This one is slated to open in Spring 2027 and is expected to play a significant role in streamlining inventory flow while reinforcing customer relationships across the region.

Kinney said the Denton project will reflect the same standards NPA has built its brand on nationwide.
“Our Denton facility will be built with the same focus on operational excellence and customer experience that NPA is known for nationwide,” he said.

That customer experience has become increasingly important as the powersports industry continues to evolve. Remarketing is no longer just about clearing inventory. It is about data, speed, confidence, and reach. NPA’s services already include tools like the NPA Value Guide, widely used as a wholesale valuation reference, and its facilities support a growing digital marketplace where buyers and sellers expect transparency and efficiency.

The Denton addition also strengthens the Texas presence of a company that already operates company-owned and staffed sites across California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Texas. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Copart, NPA brings scale and infrastructure to a corner of the industry that depends heavily on trust and timing.

For Denton, the facility represents new business activity and a place within a larger national network. For NPA, it is another step in a long game of strategic expansion. And for the broader powersports industry, it is a reminder that growth is not slowing down — it is getting more targeted, more regional, and more ambitiou
